How to be a good Photographer

So being a decent photographer is not as  hard as you'd ever imagine after going through these steps.

First, get yourself a camera. It doesn't need to be brand-new and very advanced, you can get a used one with cheaper prices yet you can practice and acquire the fundamental skills and knowledges needed. Sites such as http://www.mudah.com, http://www.lelong.com.my, eBay offers really great deals but remember to be caution as scammers are everywhere! Ask for a meet up and check for the device before making your decision. Be smart!

Secondly, no one pays for photography tutorial classes or attending to College or University for a certificate to prove that you are a good photographer. It doesn't work that way, all you need is giving in efforts and you can be as successful as late Brian Duffy! Free tutorials are all over the internet exclusively YouTube, articles and photos posted by some website such as Digital Camera World are good for educating yourself but videos significantly enhance the after-effects. Good tutorials can be from YouTubers as below:

1. https://www.youtube.com/user/CamCrunch and personal favourite is...
2. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCB-YBCCPeGa03cH0YV6EcGQ

Then we proceed with the people you surrounds with. So it's very logical that discussing about photography with a group who has the absolute wonderful hobby as yours and want to develop it as a profession will be more efficacious than surrounding yourself with a group of people who loves barbie dolls. So go on and search for a local community, join the free workshop, volunteer yourself at any events and learn from the pros and don't be shy, asking is better than having the doubt but not voicing it out. Attitude is one of the key to success.

Last but not least, get readable materials such as magazines by Digital Camera World is very efficient too! Also, check out some photographer pages on Facebook will really keeps your eyes wide open too! If you personally has an obsession in human portrait, you gotta check out https://www.facebook.com/stevengohphotography.fans/?fref=ts, man named Steven Goh captures really unique, distinctive and wonderful photos.

To be successful, you take a step at one time, once you did it, remember to give it back to the community, without them, you are nothing but a photographer that owns professional camera to take awesome SELFIE.

Yours Truly,
Edwin Tan Chuan Seng
